Some brands get it: They’ve severed ties with X because they don’t want their names associated with hate, disinformation, and extremism. But others like Walmart, the NFL, and The Washington Post are still clinging to Elon Musk’s toxic platform.
Why? X has become synonymous with Elon Musk’s disturbing agenda, amplifying racism, misinformation, and right-wing conspiracy theories. And with Musk’s full-on MAGA extremism, it’s never been clearer -- responsible companies can have no part in X.
Apple, Disney, and IBM have already left. These companies recognize that their values don’t align with a platform where hate is normalized, where accounts banned for harassment are welcomed back, and where disinformation spreads unchecked.
But why haven’t others followed? Companies like Walmart and State Farm claim to oppose hate but continue to advertise on a platform that Musk has twisted into a breeding ground for hate speech and lies.
Demand that companies still advertising on X leave now. Add your name and call for an end to corporate support for Musk’s platform of hate.
By staying silent, these companies are complicit in Musk’s agenda. Brands like the NFL and Walmart would never set up accounts on Truth Social or websites known for racist hate, like 4chan and others on the dark web. But as long as they remain on X, they’re aligning themselves with a platform defined by divisiveness, racism, and extremism.
We must show these corporations that customers expect them to act with integrity. We won’t support brands that fund a social media site endorsing hate.
The time is now for every business that values decency and respect to leave X. Join us in demanding that brands still advertising on X sever ties with Musk’s megaphone for hate.
