Dear Friends,
Tune in tonight at 7 PM EST— The Sip Hour returns with a live show from Washington, DC! Please join us virtually as we make sense of the election, celebrate the accomplishments of Black women and chart our path forward together. This is a conversation you don’t want to miss with some of the leading thinkers in our Movement.
Advancement Project Executive Director Judith Browne Dianis will be joined by Adrianne Shropshire of Black PAC, Glynda C. Carr of Higher Heights for America, Tracy Sturdivant of The League, and Fatima Goss Graves of the National Women’s Law Center to discuss all things 2024 Election, culture and politics. Special guests will include Derrick Johnson of the NAACP, April Verrett of the SEIU, and Waikinya Clanton of Black Women for Kamala Harris.
You can listen in at 7 PM EST on Advancement Project’s Facebook page or on The Sip Hour YouTube channel.
The Sip Hour was created by five Black women leaders in 2020 as a space for Black women to gather amidst the pandemic, racial justice uprisings, and the election. Since then, it’s grown into a platform that provides political insight, wellness content, and cultural commentary. Past guests have featured influential figures like Vice President Kamala Harris (then Senator), Senator Elizabeth Warren, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Mayor Vi Lyles, Ash-Lee Henderson, and Cornell Belcher, to name a few. Today, we continue to host pop-up events and shows to break down political moments and more for our communities.
We hope you'll join us tonight at 7 PM!
Onward,
The Advancement Project Team
