A year ago today, I launched this campaign to represent my community in
Congress. Since then, we've hired staff, won a primary election, and found new
ways to engage South and West Texans in this uncertain time. While so much has
changed since May 14, 2019, three things remain the same:
1) Texas' 23rd Congressional District has been underserved by elected leaders
for too long, and we need a representative committed to fighting for our
district in Washington.
2) TX-23 is the most competitive district in the entire country.
3) I won't take a dime of corporate PAC money.
Despite being the most competitive race in the country, I won't take campaign
contributions from corporate PACs. Our campaign runs on grassroots donations
from supporters like you. Will you donate $20.20 to help mark this campaign
milestone?

In 2018, our campaign came up just 926 votes short. Exactly one year ago, we
picked up where we left off, because this district is worth fighting for. I'm
running for Congress to ensure that everyone has access to the opportunities
that allowed me to grow up healthy, get a quality education, and serve our
country.
We came so close to winning in 2018 that we scared the Republican incumbent
into retirement. Now, the stakes couldn't be higher with our opposition
identifying as far-right, Trump Republicans. I need your help to take them on
and win this fall.
