Usually, we let you know about seats that started accepting applications within the past week. This week we're excited to let you know that *over 70 seats* *began accepting applications today*.
Minnesotans who apply for a seat within twenty-one days of its posting are assured full consideration by the appointing authority. Applications for seats posted today should be submitted by* December 5, 2024* to fall within that twenty-one-day posting period.

Open Appointments Application Process - What Else to Know
* Board contacts can answer questions about applying for a seat.
* Appointing authorities are organizations that review applications and decide who to appoint to vacant seats.
* You may apply for a seat after the twenty-one-day posting period but keep in mind that an appointing authority may have finished reviewing applications by that time.
* Applications remain active for one year unless withdrawn by the applicant.
* During that year, applications to a board may be considered for any vacancy on that board.
