John,

Applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program are now open! Learn more and apply for assistance here. <[link removed]>

Heating costs can get expensive. As the weather gets colder, we’re making sure New Yorkers can afford to heat their homes without breaking the bank.

Eligible New Yorkers can get up to $1,000 to cover heating bills, $4,000 to repair a boiler, and $8,000 for a boiler replacement.

The Home Energy Assistance Program makes a real difference in the lives of New Yorkers. Last year alone, it saved families across New York over $397 million. We want to make the same impact this year.

I sat down with Venetta Davis, one of the many New Yorkers who has benefited from this program. She shared her story with me, and I want to share it with you:

I’m always looking for ways to make life more affordable for New York families. With the Home Energy Assistance program, we’re putting money back in the pockets of New Yorkers while keeping them warm this winter.

Ever Upward,

Gov. Kathy Hochul
