Yesterday, the Virginia House of Delegates Privileges and Elections Committee took a decisive step forward by passing the Reproductive Freedom Constitutional Amendment. Next, it will go to the full floor of the Virginia House in January for a vote and will need a simple majority in each chamber to pass in 2025.

This vote is a testament to the voices of Virginians who demand protection for their most personal health care decisions. As we confront a shift in federal leadership that will undoubtedly attempt to erode fundamental freedoms, Virginia must do everything in its power to ensure safe, accessible abortion remains a right enshrined in our Constitution, but we need your help to make that happen.
