The election is over, but our work is just beginning.

Trump started announcing his cabinet, and it's worse than we feared. Matt Gaetz is under investigation by the Department of Justice, he shouldn't be running it. Tulsi Gabbard is an apologist for dictators like Assad and Putin, so Trump wants her in charge of our national intelligence apparatus. And he wants to put a Fox News personality in charge of the Department of Defense.

Folks, this is serious. Trump is committed to destroying our federal government and launching an all-out assault on our non-partisan federal workforce.

I'm not one to shrink from a fight, and I'm not backing down on this one. I'm going to do everything in my power to pervent these unqualified cronies from getting Senate confirmation. If they do, I'm going to use my perch on the powerful Oversight committee to expose their inevitable violations of federal law, just like I did during Trump's first term.

But I need your help. With the election behind us, funding will naturally start to drop off — but the threats we’re facing have never been more real.
