A new report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) warns that anti-government domestic terrorism is on the rise, posing a growing threat to communities across the country. According to the report, domestic terrorism incidents have increased significantly in recent years.
Despite these alarming trends, the federal response has not been aggressive enough to curb this dangerous threat.

The report highlights that anti-government extremists are targeting public institutions, election offices, and marginalized communities, undermining public safety and democracy itself.
Experts stress that without stronger federal action, these movements will only grow. As CSIS researchers put it: “Ignoring this problem will allow these groups to flourish, leading to further attacks and violence.”
