I will always be a champion for our public lands.

But Donald Trump and Republicans want to sell off our country’s natural wonders — lands that belong to you .

The state of Utah recently filed a lawsuit to take control of millions of acres of public lands and open them up to development — with the support of Republican federal lawmakers.

But that is only the start. Now that Donald Trump will be president, he will continue his assault on our public lands. In 2017, Trump shrank the size of the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante national monuments in the largest rollback of federal land protections in U.S. history. While President Biden thankfully restored the boundaries of these monuments, Donald Trump will undoubtedly come after our lands again.

Trump’s Project 2025 calls for oil, natural gas, and coal production on federal lands, undermining wildlife protections, and more.

I will combat these attacks on our public lands every step of the way. I helped create the Rio Grande del Norte and Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks national monuments and establish the White Sands National Park alongside local communities in New Mexico. We will not let Trump touch our public lands without a fight.

Together, we will hold the line and defend the values that make New Mexico and our country strong.

— Martin
