With Election Day now a week behind us, the initial turbulence has started to clear, and the true outcomes of the election are emerging. The atmosphere on each side of the political aisle is markedly different, with Democrats expressing disappointment while Republicans celebrate a series of wins.
This newsletter provides an overview of the highlights and essential details on what your Kansas GOP (KSGOP) was actively working on during the campaign season, while candidates connected with voters.
Presidential Election
TRUMP WINS
We are thrilled to share that President Donald Trump’s presence at the top of the ballot was a significant motivator for Kansas voters, especially in a year without statewide races. President Trump won Kansas decisively with 57% of the vote, and the KSGOP played an active role in delivering Kansas firmly into the Republican column for the presidential election.

We extend our joyous congratulations to Kansas Congressmen Tracey Mann and Ron Estes for successfully defending their seats in the 1st and 4th Congressional Districts. Their commitment to Kansas values continues to be a source of pride for our state.
A special congratulations to Derek Schmidt on his resounding victory in the 2nd District, marking his first election to Congress. “Congressman Schmidt” has a great ring to it, and we look forward to his leadership in Washington.
We also want to recognize Prasanth Reddy for his valiant effort in the 3rd District. Despite the challenges he faced—including the loss of his mother and the unique dynamics of the Johnson County electorate—he campaigned tirelessly. We are proud of his dedication and his determination to serve Kansans.

State Elections
Republicans Dominate
A Note from the President of the Kansas Senate and the Speaker of the Kansas House of Representatives
On November 5th, the people of Kansas entrusted Republicans with an expanded supermajority in both chambers. This historic victory was made possible by House and Senate Republicans who assembled exceptional teams that worked tirelessly for months, and even years, to achieve this incredible result.
Coupled with crucial support from third-party groups advocating for our ideas and our candidates, we were able to grow our numbers. Despite facing unprecedented spending and a barrage of false and outrageous attacks from the governor and her left-wing allies, we emerged victorious — and, most importantly, the truth prevailed.
This cycle, there was a lot of talk about the supposed blue wall in the Rust Belt. Here in Kansas, we built a red wall, fortified by the hard work of many. We raised funds, knocked on doors, sent mail, placed advertisements, and made strategic decisions that led to wins at the ballot box, ultimately paving the way for victories for the people of Kansas.
As Teddy Roosevelt once said, credit goes to all who were in the arena. This includes our Republican candidates, their families, our staff, volunteers, and our donors. Not a single stone was left unturned on the path to our wins last Tuesday.
Ultimately, our gratitude goes to the people of Kansas, who saw through the deception of the left and embraced our message promoting economic prosperity, expanding opportunities for young people, and upholding the rule of law.
Alongside President Trump's landslide victory, we now have an opportunity to deliver results that Kansans can be proud of. The hard work has already begun on issues like property tax relief, student-focused education, and an improved budget process that will ensure government is truly on the side of the people.
As we move forward, let us do so in the same spirit that got us here — with humility and wisdom, and always listening to the people of Kansas.

The KSGOP achieved outstanding results in our state-level elections while Democrat campaigns imploded. In fact, across a dozen targeted races Kansas Governor Laura Kelly’s “Middle of the Road PAC” funneled significant funds from out-of-state sources to Democratic candidates in an unveiled attempt to influence control of the legislature and weaken the Republican supermajorities in both chambers.
Despite this substantial investment, these efforts yielded minimal returns. The Governor’s doomed strategy fell far short, with success in just 0.083% of her targeted 12 races—a clear setback for and rebuke of her agenda.

I am immensely proud of Team Trump47/Team Kansas and all who worked and voted for President Trump, including Governor Jeff Colyer, who served with distinction as the Trump47 Campaign State Chairman. His leadership was pivotal.
Kristi Brown, my wife, served as the Trump47 State Director, playing a pivotal role leading up to the Kansas 2024 Presidential Preference Primary and through the Kansas delegate and alternate delegate elections, which concluded in late May 2024. Her dedication ensured that our objectives for securing President Trump’s primary victory in Kansas were met. She meticulously planned, organized, and coordinated the Kansas delegation for the Milwaukee convention, helping position Kansas for success on the national stage.
KSGOP hired no “consultants” to plan the events, entertainment, buses or to raise money.
We did the hard work to make the experience all that much better - and affordable for our delegation.
This was easily a $50,000+ savings to the party.
Kristi and Mike Brown planned, fundraised, organized, orchestrated, coordinated and shepherded the Kansas Delegates and Alt Delegates to a successful and first class experience in Milwaukee on three luxury motor coach buses carrying us to premium events all over the city. It was glorious!
I extend my deepest gratitude to both Governor Jeff Colyer and Kristi Brown, two outstanding Kansans, for their tireless efforts to organize, unify, and prepare our state for victory. They exemplify the America First spirit and the grit we all recognize as Kansans.
As your KSGOP Chairman, I collaborated closely with the Trump47 campaign, the RNC from day one of my tenure, and with our Executive Director, Dakotah Parshall. My new nickname for Dakotah is “The Architect” for this massive Red Wave we all rode!
Together, we implemented robust measures to protect our elections, including strengthening Kansas election laws in the last legislative session. We developed an electronic system for citizens to report election-day issues, stationed legal support across the state, and sent out over 4 million emails to keep Kansans informed and prepared for Election Day.
Additionally, we raised significant funds in Kansas and across the nation, contributing to the resources needed to secure President Trump’s victory in Kansas.
Kansas did its part to help save America!

Meanwhile, the Governor spent heavily and recklessly, reminiscent of Kamala Harris’s approach. Your KSGOP team focused on strategic, efficient spending. We carefully identified and supported key areas where Republican candidates needed additional backing, boosting their chances and securing crucial wins. This is exactly what a Republican state party is meant to do—ensure our candidates are well-supported and ready to succeed.
In October 2024 alone, your KSGOP brought in a record-breaking $1.6 million, marking the highest single-month fundraising achievement in the history of the Kansas Republican Party. This milestone was hard-won, but the results prove it was worth the effort.
Alongside setting fundraising records, the KSGOP managed 150 active Numinar accounts for candidates, some supporting over 40 candidates each and 100+ volunteer accounts. We assisted more than 300 candidates with their individual Numinar accounts and implemented the wildly successful KSGOP mail program and trained over 1,000 active volunteers on the Numinar system.
Our team’s coordinated outreach efforts included sending over 100,000 text messages, making over 50,000 phone calls, and knocking on over 50,000 doors. Using our KSGOP mail program saved participating Republican candidates nearly $330,000.
In our 18 targeted races for the Kansas House and Senate, we achieved a 17-1 record—a remarkable 94% win rate. As a result, the Kansas Senate increased from 29 to 31 Republicans, gaining three dependable Republican votes overall. In the Kansas House, we gained three additional seats, increasing our representation from 85 to 88 Republicans.
The bottom line is this; we expanded our supermajorities in the Kansas Senate and House despite an unprecedented influx of Democratic funding. Kansas is now better positioned as a result of these elections. We have steadied the Kansas our children and grandchildren will inherit. But we have much more work to do in the legislative session beginning in January. And I'll see you at the Capital.
