Dear John,
With the election behind us, where does America go next? Will we slip further into animosity and division, or can we solve the big crises facing us, from the debt to the border to foreign wars?
The answer will depend on how both parties interpret the results. Republicans have a mandate, but will they view it as permission to steamroll the opposition and indulge their every impulse? Democrats know they need to rebuild, but will they rebuild toward the center or toward the fringes?
Our movement can help influence the way these questions are answered. By leading with strategy and mobilizing our allies in Congress, we can give power to the middle and incentivize both parties to take more commonsense positions.
We’ll be discussing the path forward at our upcoming conference at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC on Thursday, December 12. We want you to join us. You’ll be with hundreds of fellow citizen supporters from across the country and will hear from our allies in the House and Senate as well as from a range of thinkers, strategists, and prominent politicos.
No Labels has been around for 14 years, but we see this conference as the beginning of a major new chapter in our work. We’ll have an exceptional lineup of prominent speakers whose names will be released closer to the event, and our goal is to bring together citizens from all 50 states.
We hope to see you there.
