Hey ,
In American Detox, I wrote "we repeat what we don't repair". It’s a big reason we are still feeling the repercussions of colonialism in America, because we have not done the work of healing our collective wounds and repairing the harm done. Trump is not the problem but a symptom of something much larger. And the breakdown we are witnessing all around us, is also happening within us.
As we confront this new reality, we can either cling to all that has been; to what comfortable and familiar. Or we can let go of all we have known and prepare to step into the portal of radical transformation.
Radical simply means from the roots. It is the work that brings us to our knees in reverence for all that it has taken for us to get here. It demands that we attend to that which has been neglected and forgotten. And it affirms that we cannot go on as we have been. We must choose to change.
I feel this deeply on a personal level as well. How this moment is a opening and an opportunity to choose something different, to reject the status quo, to refuse someone else's expectations of me and to embrace my/our full power and potential.
This is the inquiry I am inviting you into this New Year's - a retreat of radical inquiry and recalibration with what matters most. Set on the beautiful coast of Mazunte, Mexico, our journey will balance practice and play as we make the transition into 2025 with power and precision.
