Hi friends, it’s Ben Wikler, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
It’s been over a week since the end of the election, and we’re still reeling from the outcome—another four years of Donald Trump, and a startling nationwide shift to the right—a tough and sobering loss.
Good news seems hard to come by, but let me shed light on what you, as a member of this grassroots team, accomplished on Election Day:
-
You helped bring other Democrats to the polls. Though Vice President Kamala Harris came up short in winning Wisconsin, she lost by the smallest margin—0.9%—of any state in America. In fact, Kamala Harris received more votes in Wisconsin than Joe Biden did in 2020. Thanks to your donations and hours of volunteering, Democrats showed up, even in the face of a red wave.
-
You re-elected Senator Tammy Baldwin to a third term, sending billionaire Eric Hovde packing back to his $7 million California mansion.
-
You flipped four State Senate seats and ten Assembly seats blue thanks to our new fair maps, setting the stage for majorities in 2026 and breaking the decade-long GOP gerrymander.
All of your work had a critical impact. And even with Trump headed back to the White House, the work of WisDems goes on.
Will you chip in $24 to help us keep building our year-round organizing operation, elect Democrats up and down the ballot, and hold Trump and the GOP accountable? »

We have to brace ourselves for what Trump is poised to inflict on the country. And the only way to do that is through organizing and staying strong.
I get it. Who wants to talk about
another election so soon after this last one?
But in less than six months—April, 2025—we will be facing yet another election, and another fight for a vacant seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. All the gains we made these last few years could be erased if another Trump-loyal, right-wing judge wins that seat.
We won a Supreme Court seat in 2023, we can do it again, but only with the continued support of our grassroots donors.
Can you chip in $24 to help us win the critical April election, protect our hard-won progress from MAGA Republicans, and continue fighting for all Wisconsinites?
There is much to do in the months to come. We must do all we can to stand in solidarity with communities endangered by Trump’s presidency. We must learn from what took place, and plan how to prevail next time. And we must win a state Supreme Court race—and a slew of other elections—next April.
Together, we can bend the moral arc of the universe towards justice.
Thank you in advance for taking the next step.
Ben Wikler
