Folks,

Donald Trump will once again be the president of the United States.

There are many reasons to be worried by this outcome, particularly for those of us who have been targeted and threatened by Trump’s extreme rhetoric and agenda.

Trump has been clear about his plans for mass deportation, seeking retribution against political opponents, deploying federal law enforcement against protesters and implementing every last piece of the radical Project 2025 agenda.

But let’s be clear: If Trump wants to come for our communities, he’s got to get past all of us first.

There’s no doubt Trump and his MAGA extremists will use their power to attack the rights of LGBTQ+ people, implement archaic and cruel immigration policies, undermine press freedoms and make it harder for Americans to vote. But we’re familiar with what a Trump presidency looks like, and we’re ready to meet this moment.

I promise you that the Democrats and I are ready to fight with everything we have for you and all of us who are in danger under Trump. The next four years will be challenging, but together we will defend our rights, our civil liberties and our democracy.
