The SPLC is tracing and exposing the far-right extremists and hate groups that are targeting our communities

Friend,
Right now, extremists and hate groups are emboldened like never before. Hate-motivated violence is on the rise. According to the most recent FBI report, hate crimes have surged by 60% over the last five years. This is a crisis that demands action.
Our expertise in tracking hate and anti-government groups gives us a powerful voice with lawmakers nationwide. In addition to urging lawmakers to take action to prevent hate-motivated violence and reduce hate crimes, the SPLC tracks and exposes the extremists and hate groups that fray the fabric of our society. Our Extremist Files are an increasingly valuable resource as individuals like Nick Fuentes, who recently gained newfound notoriety for his viral hate speech targeting women, reenter the spotlight in the wake of the election.
Just weeks before, the SPLC reported that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson brought his 12-state, cross-country road show to the presidential battleground of Pennsylvania late last month, providing a platform for the disgraced conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and other luminaries of the far right to promote their campaign of lies and disinformation.
Carlson and Jones have promoted the racist conspiracy theory that Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, are stealing and eating pets. The Associated Press reported that, after Trump repeated the claim during the presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, more than 30 bomb threats were made against schools, official government buildings and public officials, forcing several evacuations. Jones also launched disturbing complaints about “globalists,” a term the far-right uses to scapegoat Jewish people and blamed them for undermining the country.
This is why we need people like you standing with us in the fight against extremism and hate violence. Your special gift to the SPLC will ensure our research is fully funded and support our Together We Fight campaign to:
Litigate to stop racist policies and executive orders
Advocate for progressive laws and policies
Organize in communities of color across the South
Build a strong racial justice movement
Protect voting rights
