Honoring our Veterans

I am grateful for the opportunity to once again lead the resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize Veterans Day and honor our Veterans. I am thankful for all who have served. Read more about my resolution here.

I also was honored for the chance to join the City of Ridgeland to celebrate Veterans Day. We must never forget the service and sacrifice our Veterans have made to give us the opportunity to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

I enjoyed attending the first Brandon Veterans Day ceremony and honoring our Veterans for their service.  We must never forget the service and sacrifice our Veterans have made to protect our freedoms.

I was honored to speak at the Madison Veterans Day ceremony. We are blessed to live in the greatest nation on earth because of the men and women who have served and sacrificed to protect our freedoms.

l had the privilege of meeting two World War II Veterans. Clyde Lacey and Leo Barry are both 102 years old and both served in the United States Navy. Because of their service to our nation, America would defeat Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan and secure freedom across the globe. We are grateful for the sacrifice and service of these men and all who serve.

I was honored to spend time with members of the Mississippi Air National Guard before they left for deployment overseas. Our prayers are with these brave men and women and their families. We are grateful for their service to our nation, and we look forward to welcoming them home soon.

Looking Forward to Working with President-elect Trump

Today I had the honor of hearing President-elect Donald Trump lay out his agenda for the next four years. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with our President to secure the border, grow the economy, protect women’s sports, and support our military. May God bless our President, and may God bless America.
