Kick Your Weekend Off with Feel Good Content! |
Hi Friend,
It’s that time again for your weekly check-in over here at Institute for a Progressive Nevada! This week, we’re taking a turn into something that is very different from our previous episodes- a topic that, frankly, is uncomfortable- but is one that is rooted in love and hope. This week we’ll be sitting down with Minister and Activist, Stretch Sanders, to discuss the recent events that have been highlighted in the media regarding the murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and Sean Reed. In discussing these events, we’ll be centering on the structural impacts that this pandemic has had on the Black community, and how we can continue to empower one another to stay spiritually grounded and hopeful in times of immense tragedy, grieving, and isolation. I wanted to let you know that here at IPN, we are still dedicated to bringing you your weekly dose of “feel good” content, but this week we’re getting real with you, too.
We hope you understand the importance of the conversation this week- and we know it will be valuable to our community. Have 30 minutes? Hang out with us as we sit down with community leaders every Friday from 3:30PM to 4:00PM PST to bring you nothing but positive energy and joyful conversations designed to leave you feeling motivated and, well, feelin’ good!
We can’t wait to see you!
As always, please use our resource guide (in english or spanish) if you or a loved one need assistance during this time.
See you soon! Deja Wargo-Cole Southern Nevada Organizer Institute for a Progressive Nevada |
