John,
Last month before the election, President Biden issued a letter warning Israel that if they continued blocking desperately needed humanitarian aid from getting to millions of starving and injured Palestinians in Gaza, the U.S. would consider withdrawing military assistance.
Well, 30 days have come and gone, and human rights organizations report that the situation in Gaza has only gotten worse. Instead of allowing a minimum of 350 aid trucks into Gaza per day as demanded in the letter, the Israeli government is only letting in 33 trucks per day — nowhere near enough to stop the mass starvation of Palestinians.
When questioned about this by the press yesterday, Biden officials made excuses and said the U.S. would continue to arm Israel despite failing to comply with State Department demands. No consequences and no accountability.
There are no more excuses. As long as President Biden is in the White House, we must continue to keep up the pressure and demand he stop enabling this genocide.
In solidarity,
