In the past week, I’ve heard from many people who are worried about this upcoming Trump administration, including immigrants who want to live freely and without fear, workers concerned about their wages and wellbeing, and people seeking reproductive freedom.

I can’t tell you what’s going to happen next. But one thing’s for sure: We’re going to resist any attempt to interfere with Minnesotans’ rights.

As Attorney General and the People’s Lawyer, I promise to stand up for Minnesotans and keep fighting for liberty and justice for all. If our office needs to take on Trump and his administration to preserve your rights, then that’s what we’ll do.

Our grassroots movement is going to be needed more than ever in the difficult days ahead. While the circumstances under which we’re organizing have changed, we’re still part of a powerful collective united by shared values and goals.

I’m so grateful for all you’ve done to support our campaign. Please know that your work and contributions are valuable, even if the overall results aren’t what we hoped for. You helped us reach out to people that most campaigns overlook, build long-term relationships, and grow this people-powered movement.

Please take the time you need to grieve, rest, and reflect, but don’t let anyone convince you that the work we’re doing together doesn’t have an impact. It’s an honor to fight alongside all of you.
