<[link removed]> At Swing Left, we’re still working on the November elections because, despite the circumstances, Republicans will do anything to hold onto their power. If you’re ready to help elect responsible leaders, keep reading to learn how you can transform our government.

 

Hey Swing Left,

The pandemic wasn't the only scary thing in the news this week. On Tuesday, Republicans won two high-profile elections for House seats in Wisconsin and California by narrowed margins—foretelling how close other key races will be up and down the ballot this November.

There's a silver lining, however. Flipping red seats and protecting blue seats will come down to voter turnout. Democrats can outnumber and outvote the Trump base, if we do our part to get people to the polls.

That’s why we joined The Big Send—a grassroots coalition effort organized by Vote Forward to write 10 million voter turnout letters to low-propensity voters by October. Swing Left volunteers have already written hundreds of thousands of letters to mobilize likely Democratic voters in Super States to win seats and sweep the GOP out of office in 2020.

It’ll take all of us to hit this goal, so we’re hosting virtual letter writing parties every week to bring volunteers together to write letters. This coming Tuesday, actors and longtime Swing Left volunteers Kathryn Hahn and Kyra Sedgwick are co-hosting a party. Will we see you there?

No matter how people vote in November, studies show that receiving a Vote Forward letter makes them more likely to do so. By working with fellow Swing Left volunteers at a letter writing party, we can send 10x the letters we can write on our own from home.
