Nancy Pelosi is pulling a fast one. While essential workers across the country have kept our country running - providing care in hospitals, staffing testing sites, delivering packages, working at restaurants and pharmacies, growing produce for us to eat and more - Nancy Pelosi has instead kept the lights off at the Capitol.
It’s clear why: she wants all the power for herself and she has absolute disdain for what the American people think. Instead of empowering debate, she has written the next coronavirus response bill by herself - behind closed doors, without public scrutiny and without the input of Republicans. That way she could jam in as many radical giveaways as possible without anybody noticing.
How bad is the bill? It includes taxpayer funding for illegal immigrants, funding for abortion, tax increases on small businesses and nearly $3 trillion in other spending, much of which has nothing to do with coronavirus.
Now that the bill is written, she’s calling back her followers to jam the bill through and then she’ll be turning the lights back off and telling everyone to go home again.
If you think it sounds irresponsible to continue telling Members of Congress to get on airplanes and fly across the country just to jam through bills that they haven’t read and that were written in secret, you’re not alone.
Congress should be in session every day - debating the issues and passing legislation to solve the issues as they come up. But as long as she is in power, Nancy Pelosi will never let that happen, and her far-left allies in Congress will continue to back her up as she hijacks Congress for her own benefit.
