Hi there — Senator Kirsten Gillibrand here. In a minute I’m going to ask you to chip in $5 to support Yvette’s reelection campaign, but first, let me explain why I’ve endorsed her in the NY-9 Democratic Primary.

Friend, Yvette is a leader in every sense of the word. She has been my ally in so many fights in Congress, including paid family leave and maternal health, and she has fought tirelessly to address the glaring inequalities facing her constituents today. From income disparity to access to affordable healthcare and housing, Yvette is on the front lines, fighting for every ounce of progress.

My Off the Sidelines PAC is also endorsing Yvette in her reelection campaign – because we need to elect more women to Congress. And as the only black woman in the New York delegation, Yvette paved the way for the next generation of diverse leadership on the local and federal level.

With her primary quickly approaching on June 23, we all need to step up and keep Yvette fighting for Brooklyn in the House.
