Dear ,

We’re excited to release our
2024 Impact Report: Collective Action for Clean Water ([link removed]) ! In celebration of 25 years of progress, this report highlights powerful victories against threats to water quality, our work to protect vulnerable communities, and the strength of our global movement for clean water.

None of these achievements would be possible without our powerful global network of Waterkeeper groups and the thousands of supporters, like you, who have joined us in this critical mission. As we look to the year ahead, we know that the fight for clean water is only beginning. In the report, you will find more about our achievements this year, including:
* Combatting Toxic Contaminants: Our Clean Water Defense campaign advanced protections against PFAS and 6PPD, harmful pollutants impacting both communities and ecosystems. We also secured new rules to clean up toxic coal ash from power plants, preventing over 660 million pounds of contaminants like mercury and arsenic from reaching our waterways.
* Stopping New Fossil Fuel Development: We blocked the U.S.’s first commercial-scale oil shale production facility, a project that would have raised greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 40% and devastated local ecosystems.
* Opposing Offshore Drilling: Waterkeeper Alliance continues to fight offshore drilling in places like The Bahamas and Sénégal to safeguard marine ecosystems and support coastal communities.
* Strengthening Agricultural Pollution Standards: Our Pure Farms, Pure Waters campaign forced EPA to update standards for slaughterhouses and rendering plants, major sources of nitrogen and phosphorus that fuel harmful algal blooms and “dead zones” across the country.

Explore thefull report ([link removed]) to see how our collective efforts are turning the tide for clean water—and consider donating today to expand our impact in the critical year ahead.

Every contribution helps us protect the waters we all depend on. Thank you for your steadfast support.

To clean water,
