John,
As I reflect on last week’s results and the past year of organizing, I keep coming back to our win last week in Amarillo — a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we invest in and trust local organizers.
With only eight weeks before Election Day, Ground Game joined forces with the Amarillo Reproductive Freedom Alliance to take on Proposition A, a dangerous anti-abortion ballot measure known as the “Sanctuary City for the Unborn Ordinance.” Together, we organized with a strategic message about bodily autonomy and personal freedoms in a conservative stronghold, and against all odds, we defeated Prop. A with a 19 point margin.

John, this victory shows us that when local organizers take the lead, we can push back on these extremist policies. “We know how to talk to them because we are them,” Fariha Samad, Board President of ARFA told the New Yorker two weeks ago. At Ground Game Texas, we’re more convinced than ever that building local political infrastructure is how we create the future we deserve.
Would you consider standing with us by becoming a monthly supporter? A recurring gift of $5, $25, or $100 will fuel our efforts to expand and support local organizing, drive meaningful change, and secure more progressive victories in communities across Texas.
With love and determination,
Mars Rodriguez, Managing Director
