We just released a new video about our Trans Youth Emergency Project with the help of activist and author Raquel Willis, who explained why this program is a lifeline for trans youth living under healthcare bans – especially as we head into a period where the country will be led by hostile anti-trans forces.

We’re so thankful to Raquel for lending her voice to this video, and for supporting our work helping trans youth access the healthcare they need to thrive. As we prepare for anti-transgender hostility to increase under the incoming Trump Administration, our community and allies must prepare to protect and speak out for trans youth and their families. Now is the most important time to show up for trans youth – the Supreme Court is hearing oral argument for United States v. Skrmetti in just a few weeks, and this case could define what care is available to trans youth for a generation. Since launching the project in March 2023, CSE has distributed more than $600,000 in direct emergency grants to 1,100 families and individuals in close partnership with state organizations in every state with a ban. Until every young trans person can access the care they need and deserve close to home, the Trans Youth Emergency Project will be ready to help them navigate the extreme logistical and financial hurdles caused by these discriminatory bans.
