Email from Marter4Congress THANK YOU! A heartfelt thank you to my family, staff, supporters, donors and voters who made such a difference in this race... I will never stop fighting for LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness: The American Ideals that make this country great. The Republican values of smaller government, greater freedom and common sense, helped us win the White House with President Donald J. Trump, the House of Representatives and the Senate - all while expanding our base. Even so, there is much work to be done here in Illinois. We need to make sure that "we the people" who call this our home, don't get left behind, dragged down by the anchors of big government and small representation. Lauren Underwood had to outspend us by over 13 times, but she didn't out-work us and chose to hide from her record and her constituents - an unsustainable strategy, lacking vision and the best interests of the American People. I hope I can count on you to fight alongside me in the battles that lie ahead. For now though, I want to say thank you again, for the sacrificial support I received, against a well funded (and well hidden) opponent. Lauren Underwood received more donations from New York City and San Francisco, than she did from all 7 counties in the district combined. Now, her biggest funder, ActBlue is under investigation over lawmakers' concerns that foreign adversaries like China, Iran, Venezuela and Russia may be routing money to Democrats, using the names of unsuspecting Americans. On my side of the aisle, I could not be more proud of the campaign we ran or the support I received. There is a mandate for the issues my campaign was about. The border needs to be secure. The fruits of our labors should not be eaten up by high inflation, taxes and government waste, but instead should be ours to enjoy and support our families, businesses, charities and churches. Our Constitutional Rights need to be protected and our laws need to be enforced. The enemies of freedom will not stop fighting and so our fight must continue as well.
