Hello John,

I know it's been a while since I emailed you last, and since then a lot has changed.

Earlier this year, I was excited to get back onto the campaign trail, meeting as many of you as possible in person across our great state.

But unfortunately with the onset of COVID-19, it was the right thing to move all of our campaign operations online.

While some virtual events at night allow me some interaction with people, they don't quite match up with the feeling of shaking hands with supporters like you, or touring small businesses with their owners.

One thing hasn't changed, however, and that's my commitment to fighting for a healthy, prosperous, and well-educated North Carolina.

My finance team tells me we have a major deadline coming up tomorrow. That's why I'm personally asking you, John:

I know this virus has caused a tough financial situation for some people, so I only want you to help if you are able, but if you are in a position to chip in, can you please make a small contribution of $10 before midnight tomorrow? The support of thousands of grassroots donors like you fuels this campaign, and I cannot win in November without your help.

Please, only donate if you are able. The most important thing you can do now is keep you and your family as safe as possible by following health guidelines.

Thank you for your continued support,

Roy Cooper

We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing. We've taken the step of cancelling all in-person fundraising for the time being, making grassroots online outreach and fundraising even more critical than before. Roy and the rest of the team will keep working for a more prosperous, better-educated, and healthy North Carolina, and we hope you will stay with us in this fight.
