Sometimes I’m going about my workday—scrolling through data, looking at metrics.

And then it hits me.

All this research. All this brainpower. All the experts who have dedicated their lives and careers. All the people like you, taking time out of your day to read these words.

It’s all because of kindness.

Kindness. For the mother cow whose heart is breaking as someone takes her baby away. For the mother pig who’s become a shell of herself. For the hen looking out from behind cage bars, never knowing there’s anything else out there for her.

You're here because they deserve kindness. Not because it’s easy. Not because it’s self-serving. Because it’s kind.
