Friend –

The situation: The Trump Administration is continuing its senseless lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Last week, Donald Trump told reporters his administration wants to "terminate" the ACA – all without offering up a more affordable alternative to our health care system.

Why this matters: After President Barack Obama signed the ACA into law, the uninsured rate of Black Americans dropped by over a third. Our communities are already dealing with higher, more deadly rates of COVID-19. If Trump strikes down the ACA, the results could be devastating.

Our job: (1) Collect as many signatures as possible to demand Trump stop attacking the ACA and instead work to find solutions to our nation's health care crisis. (2) Support Black leaders who will defend access to affordable care.

The ask: We need your signature, friend. Sign the petition if you believe affordable health care is a human right and to demand Trump keep his hands OFF the ACA >>

Tell Trump health care is a right

Affordable health care is necessary to address health outcome disparities for Black Americans and close the coverage gap in our communities. But the Administration's lawsuit doesn't seek to tackle any of the underlying issues in the ACA. Instead, Trump seeks to end ALL parts of the ACA, including guaranteed coverage for pre-existing medical conditions.

Going back to square one isn't going to stop COVID-19's rampage in our communities. It's not going to help us get the care we need and deserve. This is just Trump playing politics with our lives.
