Friend —
In the last few months, we’ve seen Washingtonians coming together in amazing ways to support each other during the COVID-19 crisis.
That includes some of our very own WA Senate Democrats and candidates who have been volunteering in their home communities.
We wanted to take this opportunity to share some of their stories with you and thank them for their incredible work.
Daniel Smith, candidate in Washington’s 17th LD, has been volunteering with his family to drop off meals, deliver life-saving medications to friends who cannot pick them up themselves, and was even able to find an in-home caretaker for a 96-year-old WWII veteran who needed support after breaking his hip. Thank you, Daniel! |
Senator Rebecca Saldaña and her family delivered a thank you note to the workers and volunteers at the Rainier Valley Food Bank in Seattle, along with hand sanitizer, Clorox, and toilet paper to be distributed to the community. Thank you, Sen. Saldaña!
Take a look at their thank you note!

Senator Steve Hobbs has been assigned to command the Task Force of the National Guard to support food banks and oversee other life-saving duties, like ensuring critical supplies such as ventilators and beds reach their destination across our state. Thank you, Sen. Hobbs! |
Today, and every day, we’re proud to stand alongside Democrats like Daniel, Senator Saldaña, and Senator Hobbs in their work to lift up all Washington communities.
If you’re looking for a way to help out your fellow Washingtonians, you can find volunteer opportunities at your local food bank or consider donating plasma. Follow the link here to find other opportunities: https://coronavirus.wa.gov/what-you-need-know/how-you-can-help
There is not a single good deed that is too small. Anything you can do helps and it does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for building up your community when it needs you most.

🚨Governor Inslee has issued an order to Stay Home, Stay Healthy 🚨
We ask that you join us in following this order by staying inside except for essential activities so we can all do our part to flatten the curve. For the safety of our community, candidates, and members we have canceled all in-person events for the foreseeable future.
That means we will be relying entirely on grassroots supporters like you to ensure our fight for WA values does not lose momentum.
You can stay up to date with all COVID-19 (Coronavirus) developments by visiting the CDC website and the WA State Dept. of Health website. |
