I wanted to send you a quick personal note to say THANK YOU for your encouragement, generous support, and trust over the course of our campaign! Despite a very tough night in other races (and for our nation more broadly), I’m incredibly proud of the work we did during our campaign and our resounding victory.

We ran a tough, focused, and positive campaign – winning one of the most competitive seats in the country by an overwhelming margin. In 2022, we won this seat by 1.3% (the 5th closest in the entire country), and this time – because of our entire team’s work – we won by 13.3%, outperforming the top of the ticket within our district by 11% (one of the largest over-performances in the nation). You were a huge part of our success, and I am deeply grateful for you having my back early and often during this fight.

I’m incredibly honored and humbled to have the opportunity to continue to serve our community and country. I remain a perpetual optimist, so I’ll always stay focused on finding opportunities to deliver on the mission we campaigned on – fighting to make the Hudson Valley more affordable, more safe, and more free. But I’m also clear-eyed about the tough fights ahead to protect our community from the dangerous actions Trump has proposed, and do the existential work to bridge the excruciating divides that have widened across our country.

I know how hard that feels right now. But I love this community, and I love our country – I’ll be damned if I’m going to take this setback lying down. I am going to push forward with an undying and passionate patriotism, and the belief that our freedoms are worth fighting for.
