As the dust settles from the unbelievably disappointing results of last week’s elections, it has become obvious that misogyny and sexism are not flaws within the MAGA movement… they’re features OF the movement itself.

We have every reason to believe that the attacks on women’s rights will continue to take even more dangerous shape in the months and years to come. For example, in the days since Trump’s victory, young men have started a disturbing trend of commenting on women’s social media posts, “Your body. MY choice.”

We are sickened, and we WILL NOT STAND FOR IT.

But here is the glimmer of light getting us through these hard days:

Women have made unimaginable progress in less than 1 century. Many of our mothers and grandmothers remember a time when women couldn't even open their own credit cards or apply for high paying jobs. None of the rights women have today were handed to us. Women fought TIRELESSLY for them. They committed to never giving up and won SO MANY critical battles.

We will continue to win these important battles – as long as we never give up the fight.

Over the next few years, the work we do at Her Bold Move will be more important than ever. We MUST continue working to elect pro-choice, pro-WOMEN women to our government AT ALL LEVELS. We must continue the work of unseating the legislators who worked to strip us of our rights.

We have a vision for this country, and a dream of FINALLY seeing ourselves, our daughters, our friends, and our fellow American women represented at the highest level of our government. We will get there. But it will take continued work and determination. We hope you’ll continue to join us.
