I wanted to make sure you saw this disappointing news:
“Trump praises Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling to strike down lockdown order”
While the people of Wisconsin have done their part to prioritize the health and safety of our neighbors during this pandemic, the Wisconsin Supreme Court has done the bidding of Republicans who want to prematurely reopen our state — once again putting politics ahead of public health.
This is the same Supreme Court that forced our state to hold an election in the middle of a pandemic. It’s shameful they refuse to put our health and safety first.
They even have a cheerleader in the White House celebrating this dangerous decision!
In times of crisis, we ought to be able to look to our President for strong leadership, reassurance, facts, and answers. Instead, we’ve gotten a botched federal response, late-night tweetstorms, and chaotic briefings chock-full of misinformation.
The sheer incompetence and utter failure to handle this pandemic has cost countless lives and jobs. It’s downright insulting to our workers on the frontlines of this crisis.
Look, Wisconsin gave Trump the White House in 2016 by less than a percentage point. This November, we have the power to determine what kind of leader we send to Washington.
That’s why I am doing whatever it takes to make sure Wisconsin stays out of Donald Trump’s hands. So, I’m asking if you’ll add a donation toward our effort to flip Wisconsin and send him packing. I would not ask if I didn’t think it was critically important.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
We need responsible leaders who will take this pandemic seriously. Public health and lives are at risk if we continue down this path and allow Trump to throw our country further into chaos.
I’m asking you to chip in if you can, and unlike our Republican counterparts, I’m hoping you will continue doing your part to keep our families, neighbors, and communities safe during this pandemic by continuing to stay home and practicing social distancing.
