The world of tomorrow depends in part on the young people of today. That is why World BEYOND War, in partnership with the Rotary Action Groups for Peace, created Peace Education and Action for Impact (PEAI): a transformative 14-week program that connects and supports young leaders to advance positive change.

Through PEAI, young people aged 18-35 participate in a personal and collective journey that includes six weeks of peace education, eight weeks of hands-on action, and a focus on mentorship and development throughout. What sets PEAI apart is its focus on large-scale, youth-led, intergenerational, and cross-cultural learning, dialogue, and action.

PEAI’s Global Impact Since 2021

Thanks to the support of donors like you, PEAI has impacted youth, organisations, and communities in 19 countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, Canada, Colombia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guernsey, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines, Russia, Serbia, South Sudan, Turkey, Ukraine, the USA, and Venezuela.

Monitoring and evaluation processes show key achievements include:

Capacity Building: Strengthened the peacebuilding and social change skills and knowledge of over 180 young leaders across five continents.
Mentoring Future Leaders: Trained over 50 professionals to act as in-country coordinators and mentors.
Organisational Development: Strengthened partnerships with over 40 organisations, supporting them to engage more effectively in youth and peace work issues.
Impactful Peace Projects: Provided more than 150 hours of support to country teams to complete over 20 youth-led projects that address community needs.

Help Us Expand Our Reach in 2025!

In 2025, we plan to bring PEAI to 10 more countries facing complex peace and security challenges, including Egypt, Ghana, Honduras, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Wales. But to make this happen, we need your support. Each PEAI team includes 10 youth participants, 2 mentors, and 2 coordinators.

While some countries are self-funded, many young participants need assistance with the $300 program fee. Every donation counts! Even $5 could help a young leader access this life-changing opportunity.
