Donald Trump’s return to the White House brings serious challenges. As we face the climate crisis and a growing housing shortage, my latest op-ed outlines a plan to tackle both head-on.

In “Losing the Climate is Not an Option,” I detail the steps New York must take to lower energy costs, create a union climate economy, and make affordable housing a reality for every family. As Chair of the Senate Labor Committee, I’ve championed laws to protect workers from climate impacts and hold corporations accountable. We can’t let corporate profits come before the well-being of New Yorkers.
