A huge victory for constitutional limitations of power in Wisconsin and for our residents' God-given rights happened yesterday. The Supreme Court struck down Governor Tony Evers "safer-at-home" decree, which will now allow the state's county governments to decide on when to lift restrictions. This is a great win for Wisconsin and our headquarters staff as we will be able to get back into the office shortly!
As more Americans increasingly demand their states to reopen like Wisconsin, local, state, and federal government officials are looking to track Americans via "contact tracing." In the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) introduced H.R. 6666, the COVID-19 Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone (TRACE) Act.
This bill would authorize the CDC to award grants to “eligible entities” – such as federally qualified health centers, university hospitals and clinics, nonprofit organizations, and high schools – for the purpose of tracing and monitoring the contacts of individuals infected with COVID-19. The grants would also be used to support the quarantining of those contacts.
This is only the beginning and we must get ahead of this before it goes too far. We can't let the Deep State or the government compel Americans into surrendering their God-given rights and freedoms under any circumstances. Returning to “normal,” does not entail granting the government a massive overreach of power at the expensive of liberty.
Please contact your U.S. representative, senators, and President Trump and urge them to stop and oppose both H.R. 6666, S. 3624, and any other efforts greatly expanding “contact tracing.”
