Hi John,

A second Trump administration is a threat unlike any we've seen before. Right out of the box, his footservants will be taking aim at the wild world we love.

Grizzlies will likely lose their federal protection as we remain in court to defend gray wolves.

Big Oil will be invited to plunder oceans and public lands, drilling away critical habitat for imperiled species like polar bears, ice seals, greater sage grouse and burrowing owls.

And Trump's allies in Congress will try to dismantle the most powerful tool we've got to protect wildlife, the Endangered Species Act. The new Trump machine has made no secret of its plans to liquidate the natural world.

But we're going to swing for the fences. Our mission at the Center for Biological Diversity is to secure a future for all species, great and small.

That's why today we're launching the Future for the Wild Fund to resist Trump's assault on the natural world. Thanks to a group of wildlife champions, all gifts to this new fund through Dec. 31 will be matched.

We've been here before, and not just through the first iteration of Trump. The Center's been fighting administrations of both parties for 35 years, stopping attacks on the wild and winning for what we love.

No other team has our track record of protecting wildlife and wild lands. We've secured protection for more than 760 species and 700 million acres of critical habitat.

Our lawyers, scientists and campaigners will stop at nothing to prevent Trump and his cronies from desecrating the wild.

We sued Trump 266 times during his first administration and won nearly 90% of those cases.

So many vulnerable species, wildlands, and human communities are counting on the Center to keep fighting precisely in times like these. Highly endangered species like vaquitas and North Atlantic right whales are already on the brink of extinction.

We'll proceed with strength, confidence, and a creative and relentless spirit seasoned by battling political forces hellbent on destroying the wild.

We've been preparing our Trump strategy for months, and we're ready.

We won't shrink back, and we won't compromise. We'll keep doing what we've always done — fighting for those without a voice and doing what's right for the animals, birds, plants and wild places that we love.

Please stand with us and make a lifesaving gift to the Future for the Wild Fund today. All donations will be matched.
