Since the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023, Israeli airstrikes and military operations in response have claimed the lives of over 43,000 Palestinians, left more than 102,000 injured, and internally displaced up to 1.9 million people, roughly 90% of Gaza's entire population.
The Biden Administration now wants to send another $20 billion in military aid to Israel, a decision that would directly fuel more destruction, more displacement, and further suffering of Palestinians.
But we have a chance to stop this. Senator Bernie Sanders has introduced Resolutions of Disapproval that will halt this dangerous weapons deal if Congress supports it. These resolutions provide an opportunity to push for peace, not further bloodshed.
We cannot allow our taxpayer dollars to fund more devastation spent on actions in blatant violation of international and U.S. laws, fueling war crimes and human rights abuses against Palestinians.
Stand up now! Tell Congress to block this $20 billion transfer by supporting Sanders’ Resolutions of Disapproval.
It’s clear that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is reaching levels of historic brutality, and we cannot look away.
Already, Gaza is facing extreme food insecurity, with 2.13 million people struggling to find their next meal. Water, shelter, medical supplies are all critical resources in short supply, leaving people in a fight for survival every single day.
And yet, the Biden administration is prepared to send Israel $20 billion more to carry on these operations. Without intervention, this aid will further enable Israel’s military actions that have decimated communities, torn families apart, and left Gaza in ruins.
Sanders’ resolutions give us a clear path to redirect American resources away from bloodshed and toward diplomacy and peace.
