John -- We did it! I am so grateful that the voters of San Francisco and northern San Mateo County put their confidence in me to be their voice in the California State Assembly.
It has been my honor to represent our community over the last six years in San Francisco City Hall. Together, we have stood up for public safety, protected reproductive freedoms, cracked down on corruption, and approved thousands of new homes –– and we’re just getting started. I ran for Assembly because I knew that I was ready to take that same fight to Sacramento, and ensure that our district has a representative who will fight relentlessly for policies that will make our state safer and more affordable for all. I look forward to working with you in the years ahead to make a real difference here in our neighborhoods and across California. We ran a people-powered campaign, and I am incredibly thankful to the hundreds of neighbors who stepped up to help spread our message. Thank you to my amazing campaign team who pushed us forward every step of the way, and to the voters for putting your trust in me to represent you. I also want to thank my opponents for participating in an important dialogue about the future of our great state. Join me in celebrating our hard-fought victory at a community swearing-in at the Palace of Fine Arts on Thursday, December 5.
