Dear Reader,
I’m pleased to announce the launch of a new annual lecture named after our inestimable founder Richard John Neuhaus.
The inaugural Neuhaus Lecture will be given by Patrick J. Deneen on Thursday, February 13 in Sarasota, Florida. Thank you to the New College of Florida for its partnership in this exciting new lecture.
For more information and to register, please follow this link to our website ([link removed]) . Tickets to the lecture are free with a suggested donation of $25. Sponsorship opportunities are also available with a gift of $1,000 or more.
From the start, Neuhaus recognized the importance of bringing people together for public lectures and other events, having established the flagship Erasmus Lecture in 1985.
As readership grew, FIRST THINGS began to add to its portfolio of public programming with annual Intellectual Retreats, lectures in Austin and Washington, D.C., and—most recently—public conversations in Chicago.
If you will be in Florida in February, I do hope that you’ll join us. And if you know of any friends who will be in the area, please do forward them this email as well.
