John, the election results left us all feeling shaken. Losing the presidency and the Senate to climate deniers and corporate lackeys is no small blow.

But Jane’s not giving up the fight and neither should you. We need you in this fight now more than ever.

At JanePAC, we’ve always believed in the power and influence of local officials in the climate fight. This election reinforced that belief. Even as we saw some losses at the federal level, we achieved dozens of key victories at the local level, from Tennessee to Texas, from California to Colorado. State and local officials are the strongest firewall against the incoming administration’s plans to undo the progress we’ve fought so hard for.

Our endorsed climate champions are not solely fighters for our planet, they’re also champions for reproductive rights, public education, and working families. They’re exactly the kind of leaders we need at all levels of government.

The JanePAC candidates who won their elections are now in critical positions to make a real difference. Local offices like city councils, boards of supervisors, water districts, and university regents have immense localized power. Our champions can now:

✅ Influence zoning regulations, building codes, and infrastructure projects, ensuring development aligns with sustainable practices and climate resilience.

✅ Make decisions on local energy sources, water management, waste disposal, and transportation systems — all crucial aspects in the fight for a sustainable future.

✅ Improve college affordability and implement climate priorities such as putting the university system on a path to sustainability.

The corporate lackeys and climate deniers want us to roll over and take what’s coming. They want the fear and exhaustion to break our will and end our fight. But Jane and the team are doubling down on our strategy and our mission.

While not all of our races have been called, we have already won dozens of key down-ballot races in Tennessee, Texas, California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Illinois. To name only a few of our critical down-ballot wins:

* In Minnesota, Ann Johnson Stewart won a senate seat in a special election and defended the State Senate’s majority.
* In Oregon, Anthony Broadman flipped a longtime Republican district and gave the Oregon State Senate a Democratic supermajority.
* In Colorado, Elliott Hood won a seat on the University of Colorado’s Board of Regents, where he will work to move campuses and facilities to net-zero emissions.
* In California, Sade Elhawary is on her way to the State Assembly, and social justice organizer and civil rights attorney Ysabel Jurado joins the Los Angeles City Council.

And we’re not done yet — votes are still being counted, and more wins could be on the way.

Together, we can make sure that even if national leaders turn their backs on climate action, local leaders across the country will keep fighting.

Onward,

Team JanePAC
