Fellow Kansan,

Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter! This week, I will be in Washington, D.C. to begin the final stretch of the 118th Congress. Follow me on social media to see more of my work for Kansans in the Big First.

I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America – I serve to fight and work to make it stronger. That's what I am doing while believing our brightest days are yet to come.

Yours in service,

The Week Ahead

This week, the U.S. House of Representatives will consider legislation to terminate the tax-exempt status of terrorist supporting organizations. America will not bow to extremist organizations or entities.

We will also consider legislation to force the U.S. Department of Education to properly implement the new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). When the FAFSA process faces delay or is not properly executed, students and families become unsure whether they can afford higher education opportunities, and educational institutions in the Big First risk missing out on exceptional talent.

We must all work together to ensure that we are not mortgaging the future of our children or grandchildren.

Thank you, Veterans!

Our gratitude and support for our military service members cannot end once they remove their uniform. Thank you to the more than 41,000 veterans in the Big First who showed the ultimate dedication to our country. Having served on the House Veterans Affairs Committee, it is a privilege to fight for policies that give veterans the highest quality of resources and the support that they deserve. Thank you to all our Kansan veterans for your service, and I hope you had a great Veterans Day.
