This week has affirmed what Indigenous wisdom has shown us since time immemorial โ our futures are interdependent and intertwined. As we hold each other in our grief, we remain steadfast in our commitment to one another and the world we know is possible.
In that spirit, from now until #GivingTuesday on December 3, every donation to Amazon Watch will be matched up to $50,000.
As Indigenous Earth defenders respond to the Amazon rainforest's worst fire season in two decades, we have a unique opportunity to rise together to protect the heart of our planet. While we've already mobilized $50,000 directly to Indigenous peoples fighting the flames and protecting the Amazon, more communities are still seeking urgent assistance. Will you answer their call today?
Anonymous donors are matching all gifts through December 3 up to $50,000!
In August alone, fires scorched an area larger than Costa Rica โ a staggering loss to the Earth's largest tropical rainforest. These fires aren't natural, but the direct result of human activities like mining, oil drilling, and agribusiness. This devastating reality shows us something important:ย the solutions are also in our hands.
We can stop the flames. Indigenous peoples show us that humanity has a central role to play in supporting thriving rainforests. When Indigenous land rights are honored, rainforests are significantly more protected, biodiversity flourishes, and impacts from crises like the current historic drought in the Amazon are less severe.
With your matched donation, you'll be standing alongside Indigenous peoples and supporting Amazon Watch's campaigns to halt reckless extraction and secure land rights in ancestral territories.
Please answer the call with a donation today, and have your gift matched!

P.S. Many employers match employee giving, meaning you could have your gift matched again! The email receipt you'll receive from us is usually all you need to submit to your employer. Our team is here to help.
