In times like these, community really matters. Breast cancer doesn’t stop for pandemics. And the Breast Cancer Action community is strong, resilient, and resourceful so we can meet the current need.

This weekend, a longtime activist and fearless leader, JoAnn Loulan, will be hosting a special video event for Breast Cancer Action, and we hope you'll join us! ([link removed])

For sixteen years JoAnn, a former member of our Board of Directors, has thrown a fundraiser not to be forgotten. The annual Billie Gardner Loulan Memorial Fundraiser, in honor of JoAnn’s mother, brings the community together to fund our work. This year, she’s taking her efforts online and and she'd like you to be there, too!

JoAnn is an outspoken author and activist who’s work focuses on progressive politics and lesbian rights. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer twice, and her mother, Billie, died of the disease. She joined Breast Cancer Action’s Board of Directors because she wants to do everything she can for women living with and at risk of breast cancer. And each year, she raises over $100,000 to fund our work because she knows how important our conflict of interest policy is to ensuring we can go toe-to-toe with polluting industries.

JoAnn has committed to raising $100,000 and has secured a $30,000 match from a group of generous donors, including Angela and Sam Schillace, Julia Shaw, and Laure Woods. We have already raised over $50,000 toward this goal, and we hope you'll help us get the rest of the way there. ([link removed])
