This week, Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats introduced the
HEROES Act to fund urgent priorities including providing nearly
$1 trillion in relief for state and local governments that will
otherwise have to layoff frontline workers and cut essential
public services.

This support will help fund key public health operations, keep
emergency first responders on the job, pay the teachers helping
our students learn remotely -- and fund other critical municipal
services. The need for these services doesn't stop while we
quarantine at home! But state and local government budgets are
being devastated as sales tax and other revenue dries up.

They need our help NOW.

Unfortunately, Mitch McConnell doesn't care. He has said the
states can go bankrupt. That may be McConnell's solution, but it
is not ours.

Add your name to demand Mitch McConnell stop blocking vital
relief needed to help state and local governments maintain
essential services for American families during this crisis.

The HEROES Act also funds priorities like contact tracing to
fight the virus, hazard pay for frontline workers, emergency help
for the U.S. Postal Service, support for voting by mail, funds to
help close the inequitable "homework gap," and more.

But Mitch won't consider any of these priorities without a
get-out-of-jail free card for big corporations. He is demanding
Congress provide a liability shield that protects corporations
from consequences for negligently exposing their workers and
customers to unnecessary risks to their health and their lives.

Sign on to tell Mitch: support working families instead of
shielding big corporations!

The fight against the virus is far from over. We need the HEROES
Act now.

We're in this together,
