Dear Friend,
The 2024 election is over, and I have important updates about Protect Our Kids PAC and our endorsed candidates. In short, we won big.
But first, let’s zoom out. Since Protect Our Kids launched in 2022, we have held true to a single mission: supporting strong candidates for public office who will fight against lax drug laws that hurt our kids. Our hypothesis was that by focusing our energy on close Congressional races, we could maximize our impact and help secure victories for anti-drug advocates.
The first major test of our theory, the 2024 primary elections, was a successful proof of concept. Across the country from Maryland to California, candidates whom we supported on both sides of the aisle won hotly-contested primary elections.
The real test, though, was Election Day in November. And we have good news: Protect Our Kids-endorsed candidates won crucial races nationwide.
Please consider donating to Protect Our Kids PAC so that we can continue to support anti-drug candidates fighting for the next generation! ([link removed])
In Maryland, Democratic Senator-Elect Angela Alsobrooks beat Larry Hogan, a former Governor who allowed Maryland to legalize marijuana without a fight. Early on, the race looked neck and neck. But we knew that Angela would come out with a big win. And she did, beating Hogan by nine points!

Angela is dedicated to the fight against drugs, just read what she said in her Senate debate when asked about marijuana: “I’m deeply concerned about the impacts of marijuana on children… I think we ought to be protective of our children… We’ve watched our children suffer and I think that we should be really cautious and be concerned about our children having access to marijuana.”
Another Protect Our Kids-supported candidate, Colorado Republican Congressman-Elect Jeff Hurd, won his election against Democrat Adam Frisch by fewer than 15,000 votes. Jeff, a strong anti-drug and family-oriented candidate, pulled out the win despite the Frisch camp dumping more than $5 million into campaign advertisements. Jeff publicly thanked ([link removed]) Protect Our Kids after we endorsed his candidacy with a strong statement of support. His narrow election victory demonstrates how impactful your support of Protect Our Kids can be.

Other candidates we supported, like Congresswoman-Elect Julie Fedorchak (R-ND), Congressman-Elect George Latimer (D-NY), and Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) also had huge wins on election night!
We are thrilled that Protect Our Kids-backed candidates have advanced to the general election, but our work is only just beginning. We can only continue to help Congressional candidates who will fight for your kids’ future with support from people like you. Please contribute to Protect Our Kids PAC today so that we can help anti-drug candidates win in November! ([link removed])
