Welcome back from October recess. This November our queer community is more important than ever. GLASS is ready to support our members as we recover from our collective election night hangovers, and prepare for the next Congress. That begins this Thursday at our monthly Happy Hour at Barrel, and continues with the first of our new Congressional Transition Project events: Job Support on November 18. See all November events below.
These next months will be stressful no matter which office you work for, so please take advantage of the Senate’s EAP and other community resources included below, and in our new Resources Page [ [link removed] ].
Take care of yourselves and each other.

Future Events and Programs
Life on the Hill Panel in January
Time & Location: TBA
Do you find yourself overwhelmed learning the many unwritten rules of the Senate? Fell like you’re drinking from the fire hose in a new office or job? Join GLASS for a panel of senior Staff who have seen it all, and want (maybe need) to talk about it.
This event is specifically geared to help Interns, Fellows and junior Staff navigate the Senate, but all members are welcome to attend and contribute!
Meet the Queers: Coffee Connections
Coffee Connection sign ups are still open! Use the link below to be matched with another member of the GLASS community. The next round of connections will begin soon, so sign up today!
(NEW) Resource Tab: Mental Health and Other Resources
This is a stressful time to work on the Hill. The GLASS Board wants to make sure you have the support you need, while you obsessively watch Steve Kornacki. We have added a “resource” tab to our Substack with useful a ton of useful links to everything from Senate EAP Counseling and Financial Planning Assistance, to a list of single stall bathrooms across Capitol Hill [ [link removed] ]. The Board will continue to add additional resources over time.
