Team,

Thank you for re-electing me to represent you in the United States Congress. I love this district, I love the people I represent, and I love my job.

Unfortunately, the presidential election results were not what many of us had hoped for.

I promise to use my seat in Congress to do everything I can to continue to make life better for Michiganders and to work toward the values that I have always championed.

I will spend every day talking with people — from every city and town in the district — to understand the issues that matter most and work together to come up with solutions to the problems people face. Southeast Michiganders care about a number of issues including lowering everyday costs, having access to quality and affordable health care and prescription drugs, having a safe community to live in, including clean air and water, and being able to get a quality education. Your priorities are my priorities, and talking to you is the best part of my job.

I have always believed, and still do, that we can get the most done by working together and making sure everyone has a seat at the table. I pledge to continue to consider all perspectives and ensure everyone's voices are heard.

I am proud of the work that we did in this district and am so thankful to the volunteers who put in the time and hard work to reach voters. We worked together as a community.
