Johnson on Trump's Win: 'The Woke Left Went Too Far with Their Crazy Ideology'
by Suzanne Bowdey
Despite a nagging budget deadline and rumors about his job security, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) was "all smiles" this weekend when he sat down to talk with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins. "It does feel very much like we will have a new morning in America," he said with more energy than someone who's been on the campaign trail for months should have. "The team in Washington is very excited," Johnson pointed out. But one thing they shouldn't expect, he warned, is a break.

Bill Clinton Warned Harris Campaign about Radical Trans Position and Was Ignored
by Ben Johnson
Former President Bill Clinton tried to warn the Kamala Harris campaign that its extreme position on the transgender issue would lead to its defeat, but the campaign rebuffed him, according to a report in The New York Times. The story broke as a Democrat-commissioned poll found that swing state voters cited the vice president's focus on transgenderism and other social issues as their top reason for voting against the Democratic ticket in 2024.

American Dream 2.0: The Remarkable Rise of J.D. Vance
by Dan Hart
In recent years, many of America's intellectuals, prognosticators, and the public in general have declared the American Dream dead. The Left has convinced a large segment of society that Americans of color are inherently disadvantaged simply because of their ethnicity (despite America electing a black man to the most powerful office in the world not once, but twice). But to be sure, studies have shown that at least half of working Americans today do not make as much money as their parents - a sign that, at least economically, the Dream has begun to fade for many. Still, the remarkable rise of J.D. Vance serves as an example of how the American Dream may not be completely lifeless after all.

PERKINS: Once Again, the Sacred Fire of Liberty Is Preserved
by Tony Perkins
From the very beginning, our republican form of government - placing the power to govern into the hands of the people - was viewed as an "experiment." Why? Because nothing like it had ever been tried before. Self-government, grounded in the rule of law and crafted for a nation this vast and diverse, was unprecedented. The Constitution was new, untested, and the Founders knew that true power now rested with the people, not a monarchy or ruling elite. They also understood that this experiment depended not only on good laws but on a bedrock of virtue and morality, rooted in timeless truth.

Republicans Investigating FEMA for Denying Relief to Trump Voters
by S.A. McCarthy
Federal officials are facing increased scrutiny after a whistleblower alleged that disaster relief efforts were intentionally denied to supporters of then-candidate Donald Trump. According to a report from The Daily Wire, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) supervisor Marn'i Washington told employees under her authority to "avoid homes advertising Trump" while administering disaster relief in Lake Placid, Florida, following the devastating 2024 hurricane season. At least 20 houses with Trump signs or Trump flags displayed were skipped over by FEMA with employees designating the houses with variations of "Trump sign no entry per leadership."

Senate GOP Leadership Race Heats Up
by S.A. McCarthy
Republican candidates rode President-elect Donald Trump's coattails to a decisive victory in last week's election and are now preparing to elect a new majority leader in the reclaimed U.S. Senate. Senators John Cornyn (R-Texas), John Thune (R-S.D.), and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) are currently running for the position, but some commentators and critics are warning that only Scott would deliver on Trump's promise to "make America great again."

Polls Find Harris Had Less Support among Young Female Voters than Biden Did in 2020
by Sarah Holliday
Many assumed Vice President Kamala Harris, as a woman, would have secured the vote among young women in the 2024 presidential election. However, according to an exit poll from the Associated Press, this was not the case. It turns out at least 40% of Gen Z women who are under the age of 30 chose to vote for Donald Trump in what experts have described as a "historic comeback" for the former president.

Protests Break Out Across U.S. in Response to Trump Winning the Election
by Sarah Holliday

Outlet upon outlet reported on polls revealing just how concerned Americans were that no matter who became president-elect, anger, frustration, fear, and acts of protests would follow. A Scripps News/Ipsos poll found that over 60% of Americans believed this would be the case, with concerns highest in battleground states. And while serious violence has yet to be reported, the protests have, in fact, commenced.
