John,
As we continue to follow safety measures in Virginia and across the country, it’s my sincere hope that you and your family remain safe and healthy. As we approach the summer months, I wanted to check in.
Typically, many of our on-the-ground organizing efforts would be in full swing in early summer. We’d have our team of staff and volunteers knocking on doors, attending public events, and meeting with voters across the district, and of course I would be doing the same! This year is different.
Our organizing team has done amazing things to stay in touch with volunteers and supporters. They’ve made thousands of calls, trained hundreds of volunteers online, and have adapted our organizing efforts to a new reality. These efforts are a vital part of how we’ll win.
As we refine our strategy for the fall, we’re continuing to build contingency plans. This includes how we will contact voters in the event we cannot knock on doors or if our ability to do so is greatly diminished.
John, we’re going to win in November, but we need your help to do it. We need the resources to be adaptive, connect with voters where they are, and build the most creative campaign ever needed in VA-07! Outside Republican groups have already spent more than a million attacking, and they’ve committed more than $1.5 million in advertising for the fall.
All this just means we need to be prepared and have the resources to adapt in this changing landscape. Would you consider a contribution today?
